Mi Luna in Houston

Used to frequent this place for their half-price margarita pitcher deal on Thursdays which is no longer available. Huge disappointment there. The music is a nice idea but the volume is far above what I'd consider comfortable. We'd have to sit outside just to avoid going deaf. I also was not a fan of the automatic gratuity, even for small groups. I'm all for tipping, but I think an auto 18% just for bringing us a pitcher is asking a little much. Will try again if they bring the Marg deal back.

This place treated my party guest with the most excellent customer service. The food was really good. I will be coming back here for sure.

It took us almost 20 minutes before our server came over to help us. The food was good. Love the atmosphere and location.

I would give Mi Luna 10 stars if I could. Absolutely wonderful staff and service. Fantastic atmosphere. Amazing food. I can't praise this place enough. My first time here has been an incredible expirence and I will be sure to come back often!

Mi Luna is a nice place you can go to eat, drink and dance. The bartender and waiters making you field home. I love this place..

Awesome seafood pasta and nice ambiance. They have a band play here on the weekends. My main complaint is the service. Absolutely terrible. We came here during lunch time a few times and was ignored for the first twenty minutes. We had to demand service from one of the passing waiters.

Not the same Mi Luna. The current menu is at least half the size that it used to be. I can understand removing items that don't sell and trying to reduce waste and food cost but part of the appeal was the large selection of tapas. Also the food simply wasn't as good. The vegetables weren't cut evenly so cooking time varied resulting in some pieces of vegetables being overcooked while other pieces were undercooked. Additionally the depth of flavor wasn't what it used to be.The dining room was always loud but with the new open kitchen it just adds to the noise level, in an unpleasant way.I really like Mi Luna and it holds a lot of very special memories but this visit just wasn't as enjoyable.

Crab cake is delicious.Garlic mushroom, ox tails, ...should be try.

Delicious food, although a tad on the pricey side. I recommend the fried green olives stuffed with cheese.

This is the place to be thursday through saturday at night with the amazing latin music live band that plays here...

The chicken croquettes were by far my favorite apatizer and the crab cakes were amazing! Probably the best crab cakes I have ever had. The manager, Leah, came but the table and chatted with us for awhile. Their entire team is very attentive and professional. I will definitely be going back.

Found a Groupon for here and decided to try it out based on the reviews. Happy hours specials are only available at the bar. I tried the happy hour drinks and thought the frozen margarita was the best, then the sangria. The mojito wasn't good at all to me and tasted mostly of lime juice. Now lets move to the tapas. The octopus was the best I've had in a while, it was properly cooked. It melted in your mouth and wasn't chewy. The chorizo with potatoes was delicious as well and had a slight spicy taste to it. However, the only disappointing dish I ate was the paella. I should have known it wasn't going to be good when it came out in under 15 minutes. The paella was salty and that was the only flavor in the entire dish, nothing else. The rice used wasn't paella rice at all. Definitely one of the worst paellas I've ever had. Although the paella was terrible, I'll definitely be back for the tapas.

Very warm and welcoming place. Great for birthdays, salsa , bachata dancing with live music. Good food as well as drinks . Closes very late so that’s a plus!

Delicious food and drinks with authentic Spanish dishes that will make you crave a vacation in Spain. Lost one star due to slow service - why do drinks take 10 minutes to serve when the bar is 20 feet away? Plan to eat there when not in a hurry, but do plan to eat great food when you get there!

To go order. We ordered 7 different tapas plus a paella, which was enough for my family of 4. Prices were about $6 to $12 for each tapas and $22 for the Paella Mi Luna. This version had chorizo, mussels, shrimp and chicken in it. It was delicious. We also tried the Patatas Bravas which were too spicy for my kids but taste great if you like a little kick to your food. The Pinchos de Carne are also worth mentioning. The meat was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The staff was also quick to put my order together and offered their assistance when ordering.

My family and I are visiting Houston. We thought this was a Mexican restaurant. Our waiter Anthony explained the menu and offered several selections. We chose a "sampler". It was WONDERFUL. Anthony's knowledge and service were both exceptional. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Good tapas. We like the garlic shrimp. The desserts are good, too. SAVE ROOM. Sangria, not bad - maybe a bit pricey...

Paella it's great, but a little expensive. Cuban black beans & rice with plantains are fabulous. Atmosphere is usually quiet except weekend evening are challenging if don't like crowds. Service is reasonable. Parking is a pain.

Food is mediocre and not worth the price. 3 tiny balls for $15. I don't think so. Do not recommend this place. Plus the music is too loud and there are no lights on in the place. There's a line between setting the mood and leaving the customers blind

If you're looking for food and entertainment I think this is a nice place. The menu has tapas and full meals. Service is attentive and friendly. The location of the restaurant is opportune if you want to go elsewhere. Parking is interesting. There is both street parking if you can find it and a parking garage which is fairly reasonable. Mi Luna has a live band and an area for dancing. In my opinion it's a great place for date night. I enjoyed the vibe, music, and atmosphere.

Great place to listen to music. I bit over priced and the Acoustics are not good but if you like the environment, it is probably the place to go.

Every dish is so tasty. They have a nice vegetarian selection. They serve hot and cold tapas.

Worst brunch buffet ever!!! And way over priced for the limited selection they had. The only “tapas” they had was cheese and some pesto. Nothing was even labeled, had to ask about every dish they had. (Not that they had many) most of their dishes were nothing but potatoes. And the music was way too loud were we were sitting. First time here and def the last!! Really disappointed. Waste of money

I attended Mi Luna last Thursday for their Wine Dinner. Saying the food was delicious would be an understatement. Chef Ivan's menu choices for the dinner were nothing short of spectacular. The wine, of course, was amazing as well. The staff was friendly and very caring. I would recommend everyone experience Mi Luna's Wine Dinner. Huge tapas and excellent customer service. Each dish is more than enough for one person. If you want to share dishes they would easily split 4 ways as tapas. The caramelized onions are amazing. Incredibly good and flavorful.

This place is now closed. Last time I went there, I'm pretty sure the workers stole my purse. I left my clutch and went back within 5 minutes. They claimed they never saw it.

5 stars is not even close enough to rate this restaurant. The staff is absolutely unbelievable, and that just adds to the amazing food and beverages this place offers. I recommend this place for anyone who wants to have fun, taste good food, and feel great. Love this place so much. I come at least once a week.

1st time here as a Houston visitor and I didn't really enjoy the Paella Mi Luna that I ordered. The 3 bean soup was delicious but I don't eat port and was unaware that chiroz meant pork. Nonetheless the ambiance is great and the live music was pretty good as well. I'd probably go back and try a different meal.

It was my first time to visit and I was very impressed! I was shopping and decided to stop in...thank goodness I did!! I had never tried tapas before but my waiter helped me make some really good choices. Everything I had was delicious and Simon, my server, made my experience great. Can't wait to come back with friends for dancing!

My wife and I tried this place long time ago when we lived in the Rice Village area. The food was decent. Nothing spectacular. Only thing good was the service. Parking nearby is a nightmare on busy weekends.

If you have a love of Spanish tapas you will love this place, the flavors taste directly from the Iberian peninsula. One of favorite places to celebrate and a must take for my visiting friends and family. A great happy hour to boot!

Good bartenders, strong drinks super cheap. The built in stage gets a lot skillful use.

Went for a birthday meal and our server recommended four platters of tapas to split among 12 people. We were skeptical at first, but it worked out perfectly! Everything was delicious, the mojitos were strong, and the service was extremely friendly--so no complaints here.

Great time great food good service a little over price but the ambiance was great I had a great time definitely recommended
